I don’t mean to brag, but it’s great being GreatNest! Not only do we get to help people with the biggest financial transaction in their lives, we also get to feel really good about the job we are doing! I was scrolling through the GreatNest Facebook page yesterday (I do that from time to time when I need a little lift) and was very pleased to see sale after sale where we saved home sellers thousands of dollars. In addition, there were a number of testimonials from the people we’ve helped. It made me so happy I wanted to share just a few of those Facebook entries here.
We have a slogan: Sell Fast, Save Thousands; though ‘Slogan’ is probably not the right word. It’s more of a Mantra, really. It’s our four word business plan, our primary objective. The more people we help do those two things, the more people they will tell and the more business we will do. It’s a win-win-win.
The ‘How’ of that is really fairly simple. We have an efficient, modern operation, making full use of current technology to get the job of selling a home done quickly and for less money. While others might pocket that extra money, we pass it on to our home sellers in the form of a lower fee. This makes them very happy, especially when they go to closing and see a reasonable amount on the closing statement under ‘Real Estate Commission!’
Sometimes our happy clients ask, ‘Why doesn’t everyone do it like GreatNest?’ The truth is the business model that drives the ordinary real estate world developed more than 65 years ago. There have been many changes in how we sell real estate since then: the MLS, the Internet, Virtual Tours, Lock Boxes and so on. But the one thing that has not changed is that tired old business model.
Ordinary brokers charge those high percentage based commissions because they would go out of business if they didn’t! Their business model requires that much revenue from each sale to function. We have a very different model that functions like a well oiled machine on less. It’s a little like the difference between a Hummer and a Prius.
