Browse original designs and work from hundreds of talented artists and craftspeople from across the nation. Patrons visit with the actual artisans as they browse the booths for one‑of‑a‑kind treasures.

Firefest

STARWorks Creative Enterprises, Star, NC

April 1-2

This two‑day festival celebrates the role of fire in the creation of art. Internationally known special guest artists specializing in glass, metal, and ceramics participate, demonstrate their art, and lecture. Each artist will create a sculptural piece that will be installed at STARworks. The special guest artists for 2016 are glass artist Nancy Callan and ceramic artist Sergei Isupov, who has been invited to create a clay sculpture. Liberty Arts Non-Profit Foundry & Sculpture Studio of Durham will conduct the iron pour.

Mebane Dogwood Festival

Downtown Mebane, NC

April 22-23

The Dogwood Festival weekend kicks off on Friday, April 22 with a Golf Tournament and 5K Run in Mebane. Entertainment and vendors are set up on the downtown streets as nightfall approaches. The festival starts early on Saturday, with festival-goers shopping vendors’ wares, crafts, and items. Live bands and other performers from throughout the community will be on multiple stages throughout the day.

Liberty Antiques Festival

Pike Family Farm, Liberty, NC

April 29-30

400 dealers from more than 25 states pack a 100-acre farm near Liberty, North Carolina, south of Greensboro with 18th to 20th Century furniture and accessories, pottery, glass, clocks, dolls, toys, military items, advertising, decoys, jewelry, quilts, folk art and “in the rough” country Americana! NO CRAFTS OR REPRODUCTIONS — just truckloads of antiques and collectibles.

Goat Lady Dairy Open Farm Day

Goat Lady Dairy, Climax, NC

May 1

Meet the farmers, goats and kids, sheep and lambs; tour the gardens, taste the cheese, feel the fleece, hear about local food and farming. After you get to know the farmers and animals, you can even throw a pot with our local potters. In addition to selling artisan cheese, wool and yarn, our local partner farmers will be on hand offering pasture-raised pork and beef for purchase.

Kernersville Spring Folly

Downtown Kernersville, NC 

May 6-8

This fun festival in downtown Kernersville features music, rides, an arts & craft show, and a food court.  A performance area is set up on North Main Street, providing a venue for gymnastic studios, dance studios, aerobics, karate and many other activities on Saturday from 10AM-2PM.

Triad Highland Games

Barber Park, Greensboro

May 6-7

On Friday, May 6, a pre-game evening concert will feature the group Barleyjuice, which was “born out of Rock and Roll, reared on British Invasion, Country Western and Progressive Rock and landed somewhere in the North Channel with a penchant for all things Celtic.” Then, the games kick off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, along with pipe bands, children’s art and Scottish athletic games, Border Collie demonstrations, tasty food, a beer garden, Parade of Tartans and much much more!

Carolina Blues Festival

Barber Park, Greensboro

May 21 (gates open at 1 p.m.)

Artists this 30th anniversary year include Elvin Bishop, Bob Margolin, Samantha Fish, and Marquise Knox. A selection of food trucks and other vendors will be on hand, as will Natty Greene’s Brewing Company and Grove Winery. Festival-goers also will have the opportunity to purchase juried, handmade creations from fine NC artisans, from deeply traditional crafts to more contemporary artistic expressions.

Kids “Spring Fling” Festival and Pool Opening Day

Washington Terrace Park, High Point

May 23, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.; $3 per person

Enjoy a fun-filled morning of activities featuring the opening of the pool, plus a bounce house, sack races, egg races, and more. Fee includes a two-hour unlimited play wristband for the bounce house and pool admission.
