Across the region you’ll find huge arts and crafts fairs, farm tours, and even swimming pool openings! This show features hundreds of experts presenting information and ideas on building & home improvement, interior decor, green living, kitchen & bath, taste & travel, and outdoor living projects.

Firefest

STARWorks Creative Enterprises, Star, NC

April 7-8, 2017

This two‑day festival celebrates the role of fire in the creation of art. Internationally known special guest artists specializing in glass, metal, and ceramics participate, demonstrate their art, and lecture. Each artist will create a sculptural piece that will be installed at STARworks. The special guest artists for 2017 are Paul MarioniAndy Nasisse, and Carl Billingsley. All guest artists will hold slide shows and participate in finale events involving fire.

Mebane Dogwood Festival

Downtown Mebane, NC

April 21-22, 2018

The Dogwood Festival weekend kicks off on Friday, April 21 with a Golf Tournament and 5K Run in Mebane. Entertainment and vendors are set up on the downtown streets as nightfall approaches. The festival starts early on Saturday, with festival-goers shopping vendors’ wares, crafts, and items. Live bands and other performers from throughout the community will be on multiple stages throughout the day.

Liberty Antiques Festival

Pike Family Farm, Liberty, NC

April 28-29, 2017

400 dealers from more than 25 states pack a 100-acre farm near Liberty, North Carolina, south of Greensboro with 18th to 20th Century furniture and accessories, pottery, glass, clocks, dolls, toys, military items, advertising, decoys, jewelry, quilts, folk art and “in the rough” country Americana! NO CRAFTS OR REPRODUCTIONS — just truckloads of antiques and collectibles.

Goat Lady Dairy Open Farm Day

Goat Lady Dairy, Climax, NC

Meet the farmers, goats and kids, sheep and lambs; tour the gardens, taste the cheese, feel the fleece, hear about local food and farming. After you get to know the farmers and animals, you can even throw a pot with our local potters. In addition to selling artisan cheese, wool and yarn, our local partner farmers will be on hand offering pasture-raised pork and beef for purchase.

Kernersville Spring Folly

Downtown Kernersville, NC 

May 5-7, 2017

This fun festival in downtown Kernersville features music, rides, an arts & craft show, and a food court.  A performance area is set up on North Main Street, providing a venue for gymnastic studios, dance studios, aerobics, karate and many other activities on Saturday from 10AM-2PM.

Carolina Blues Festival

Barber Park, Greensboro

May 20 (gates open at 1 p.m.)

Artists this 31st anniversary year include Eric Gales, Brandon Santini, Big Ron Hunter, Gate City Divas, the Luxurious Sedans, Laura Blackley & the Wildflowers, Seth Williams & Terry Vuncannon, and more. A selection of food trucks and other vendors will be on hand, and festival-goers also will have the opportunity to purchase juried, handmade creations from fine NC artisans: from deeply traditional crafts to more contemporary artistic expressions.

Old Salem Spring Festival: A Community of Health

Old Salem, Winston-Salem

May 20, 2017, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The newly reopened Doctor’s House will be celebrated through brand-new exhibits and demonstrations in the Doctor’s House. There will be lots of activities centered on the health and healing practices of early Salem, including learning how to make court plaster and herbal tea, see demonstrations of both Doctor practices and home health remedies, and more….plus, enjoy the 7th annual Pottery Fair on the Square (included with your admission ticket).

Gears & Guitars Fest
